Riding High Motorcycle Tours

Riding High Motorcycle Tours are about the freedom of being on a motorcycle, in the desert and in the highest mountain ranges of the world. The beauty and spaciousness of the deserts and the high Himalayan mountains make this an unforgettable experience!
Ash and Diego have been leading tours of small groups of friends since 2003 and intimately know the land and the peaceful local people. Riding on the classic Indian Royal Enfield 500cc motorcycle, the tours are accompanied by a back up jeep and a mechanic. Pinon riders can also ride in the jeep, which brings luggage and spare parts for the motorcycles.

On this motorcycle and jeep tour we will explore the hidden side valleys and Gompas of this ancient land with its Tibetan Buddhist heritage. The wide expanses, immense valleys and stunning views will allow us to be transported into another time and dimention. We will meet with the local mountain people who so humbly demonstrate the art of living sunstainably in such a remote and extreme environment.
The tour will take us to Pangong Lake which is 4,350 m (14,270 ft) above sea level. The amazingly blue waters of Pangong extend 134 km (83 mi) long from India into Tibet. We also tour over the Khadungla pass which at 5,359 m (17,582 ft) is one of the highest motorable passes in the world and ride down into Nubra valley which we will explore for a few days.See more
